If you read it twice in one year that's 132! As you've probably heard, Referring to the bible, Wesley always said he was a man of one book. Yet, and I'm sure you've heard this quote too, he also told a preacher, <blockquote><i>"What has exceedingly hurt you in time past, nay, and I fear, to this day, is want of reading. I scarce ever knew a preacher who read so little. And perhaps, by neglecting it, you have lost the taste for it. Hence your talent in preaching does not increase...Whether you like it or no, read and pray daily. It is for your life; there is no other way; else you will be a trifler all your days, and a pretty, superficial preacher."</i> I think the Bible counts as 66 books, right?

I'm still trying to articulate my qualms about it. But they are there. Does reading the Bible front to back count as one book? What if I read it over and over? Rather than read 100 books, what if we read 1 with great devotion? Matt, I found Kimball interesting. I’m still trying to articulate my qualms about it. But they are there.

It's great food for thought for those who care about folks outside the Church. I enjoyed it and even suggested it to the young adult Sunday School class at one of the churches I serve.
